Who me? Had a fun Sunday at our Kingdom Hall, the 5th year anniversary at a local Ice Cream parlor, and a trip to Lowes.
Well, I was a good wife and picked up a Charcoal Grill/Smoker that was 100% free on the side of the road. Jamie decided to take on the “Mount Everest” of smoking meats and wanted to do a Brisket as his first smoking meat. After smoking it for over 10 hours, it was the best Brisket I have ever tasted! He did it a Texas style and I made the butter beans and corn from our garden and twice baked potatoes.
Being small has it’s advantages… like going behind things you aren’t supposed to.
Today was one of those terrible parent days. Feeling like a failure. At a year, Olivia is only 16 lbs and 4th percentile for weight and 1% for height at 27″. She only gained a half pound since her 9mo visit. Her Pediatrician wanted me to really reevaluate breastfeeding because she is not gaining enough weight and growing. Ugh. After having my pity party this morning right after the appointment, I decided that at least she isn’t contributing to the growing problem of obesity in America! She eats home cooked meals from our sustainable garden and gets breast milk which is healthy for her. I think he is just jealous of her amazing figure. I mean common.
While Jamie gets to play in Vegas for the week, I get to take care of a teething baby. Joys. Somehow my view doesn’t look as great.
