(Always subtract 2 lbs from my scale. It can’t be calibrated and I’m to cheap to go buy a new one. I always compared my weight after a doctors visit when I was pregnant and it was always off by two. BTW- I am not that blotchy. Silly bathroom blinds.)
So, I started a thirty day ab challenge two days ago. I’m a little late to the game but now that I got the OK from my doctor to exercise and we are back from the beach… I have got to lose this baby weight! I am 123.5 lbs and only 8 pounds away from my pre-pregnancy weight. I weighted 148 lbs a day before I gave birth. I only lost about 12 lbs after giving birth and have been slowly shedding the pounds. Olivia is two months old tomorrow so I have to give myself a pat on the back. I keep hearing the last 10 are the hardest so I’m hoping to push right through it and be in even better shape than I was pre-pregnancy. I have heard 50/50 say that you lose the weight faster when breastfeeding. Most woman I have talked to say they lost weight right after birth and then slowly gained it back when breastfeeding. You do have to still take in more calories when you are breastfeeding so I could see that happening. Even though Jamie is a certified personal trainer and has his masters in Exercise physiology, I HATE working out with him. He either makes me yell, scream, cry or feel like I have to throw up. I want to do it on my own terms and really push myself. A few technique suggestions from him and that’s all I’m listening to!
Eating a dairy free diet has definitely helped! Even though I thought cheese and butter were my friend, I was sadly mistaken. The ab challenge is just the start to losing the last eight pounds. I know just an ab workout wont get it all but at least it will strengthen my core. I am going to also incorporate full body exercises as well to really push myself and lose it. I have got to get my jiggly arms and thighs toned.
I’m already really looking forward to my first rest day. AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
